Posted by admin | Under Pet Clothing Friday Nov 26, 2010
Since 2005, DRI DUCK has been providing well crafted, superior quality work jackets and shirts designed to be rugged and durable, with purpose in every stitch. The touch and feel difference in DRI DUCK apparel is immediate, distinct and unmatched. Now, DRI DUCK brings performance apparel to the work wear market with DDX, or DRI DUCK Extreme, a new Lifewear collection designed for work or play in the great outdoors. The core of the DDX line is comprised of an impressive array of innovative and next generation technologies that really perform:
Coming in the Spring of 2009, DDX will offer a line of products featuring the revolutionary 3XDRY® technology. It marries two technologies into one textile: on the outside the textile is finished with a water-repellant treatment, where the inside services the role of perspiration absorption. The end result is a 100% cotton fabric that repels water, dirt and stains on the outside and provides moisture absorption for quick evaporation on the inside. The “feelgood technology” fabric provides triple function: 1) dry on the outside, 2) dry on the inside and 3) dry in a flash.
Nano-Fleece is the newest member in the DDX collection. It features an anti static finish that not only repels lint, dust, pet hair and most important – static cling, but it’s also light, soft and comfortable, ideal for layering, and perfect for any activity in a range of cool weather climates, protecting you against whatever Mother Nature may throw your way.
Mark your calendar for Fall 2009, and the introduction of WindBrake. This 100% polyester fleece provides windblocking technology through the fabric innovators at DRI DUCK via an ultra dense, soft-shell microfleece jacket.
If you’re looking for waterproof protection with built-in mobility, look no further than DRI DUCK’s waterproof washed cotton canvas jackets in the Storm and Cyclone styles, giving you the means to take on the elements without compromise. The two-layer construction combines 12-ounce cotton canvas boulder cloth with DRI DUCK’s special membrane film for a waterproof finish, and superior, styled craftsmanship you simply won’t find anywhere else.
Hard core performance meets soft shell comfort in DRI DUCK’s waterproof Agility and Endurance jackets. These soft shells feature 3-layer bonded construction that combines a four-way stretch polyester fabric with Teflon® coating and a soft microfleece interior for superior waterproof dependability.
For the ultimate in waterproof technology, DRI DUCK gives you the Latitude – a durable nylon faille shell backed with a fully waterproof membrane and soft breathable mesh body lining. DRI DUCK gives all you all the latitude you need to keep out the wind and rain and keep in the comfort.
The world today demands a lot from people. Fortunately for you, the DRI DUCK DDX performance collection keeps pace. Every item in the line is carefully designed to provide active, adventurous and busy customers with clothing options that exceed the demand for comfort, value and reliability. Plus, the DRI DUCK team still found room in each piece for style to ensure you look and feel good in DDX well into the future.
This is exactly the kind of product innovation that is continuously underfoot in DRI DUCK’s Overland Park, Kansas headquarters. The active life wear and work wear apparel company offers next generation fabrication and technology when it comes to product design and garment features. The quality craftsmanship is obvious and notably every stitch has a purpose.

How to Prevent the Destructive Chewing Behavior of Dogs
Posted by admin | Under Pet Clothing Saturday Nov 13, 2010
With your dog’s sharp and pointy teeth, of course all chewing are destructive but what I am referring to destructive chewing is the inappropriate chewing behavior of your dog focused on your own possessions and household items (carpets, bed, clothing, slippers, etc.) instead on his own chew toys. You need to know how to prevent the destructive chewing behavior of your dog.
It is a natural desire for dogs to chew. Some dogs chew because they find it pleasurable and some dogs chew out of nervousness, boredom and loneliness. Chewing is an outlet for his emotions and it is comforting and soothing for him. As a pet owner it is your duty to prevent the destructive chewing behavior of your dog.
Dogs are naturally intelligent creature and you can teach them to stop their destructive chewing behavior. All you need are the right techniques and a little effort. Here are some tips:
Dog proof your home. This is one way to prevent the destructive chewing behavior of your dog. Dogs naturally explore things with their mouth and it is your duty to dog proof your home. Put things (books, camera, remote controls, cell phones etc.) out of his reach. Consider if he can climb or jump to reach the desired object and place your things out of his reach. Do not leave food on the table that he can reach and always clean your plates and do not leave food scrap on the sink.
Confined him in a dog proof area. This will prevent him from destructive chewing behavior. Make him understand that shoes, pillows, furniture, etc. are off limits and illegal to chew. Confined him in his own dog proof area until he understands that there are house rules that he needs to follow and chewing your possessions is not allowed.
Do not confuse your dog. To prevent him from destructive chewing behavior, do not offer him your stuffs that you no longer use like old clothes, shoes etc. to chew and play with. He cannot distinguish the difference between your old stuffs and the stuffs you are still using. Just make him understand that all your stuffs are off limits and illegal to chew.
Give him tasty alternative to your stuffs. Buy him a few chew toys that he can play or chew. There are certain ages for dogs that chewing behavior are more pronounced especially when he is teething. Giving him chew toys and rotating different toys every few days will keep things new and exciting for him and prevent him from destructive chewing behavior.
Give signals and warnings when you caught him chewing your stuffs. Clap your hands or say “No” to stop him from his destructive chewing behavior. Then hand him his chew toy and as soon as he chew the appropriate alternative, praise him and let him feel that you are happy for his obedience.
Keep your expectations realistic. Always remember that your dog is not perfect and it will take time for him to learn everything and stop his destructive chewing behavior. You have to expect that there will be at least one or few incidents where your stuffs will be damaged by his curiosity.
Do you want to put an end to the stress and annoyance of your dog behavior problems and slash your dog obedience training time in half by using techniques that give you immediate results? Where can I purchase cute warm silk clothing for my pet rat when it’s freezing outside?
Posted by admin | Under Pet Clothing Friday Nov 5, 2010
It needs to match his black studded collar.
~~~ Hmmm…….I didn’t know silk clothing was warm. As for purchasing a cute little outfit for your pet rat,I think you may be out of luck. I called a few Pet Stores and inquired;under the pretext of doing doing some early Christmas shopping for my own rat Bob M. I even tried Petco, cause that’s where your pets go, according to their commercials. I informed them I wanted something that would match his macho black studded collar. They asked if I was nuts. I affirmed that. Then they intimated that what I was proposing to do was very aesthetically displeasing. After they hung up on me I Googled that "A" word that I can’t pronounce. Gotta tell ya freesumpin…..it didn’t sound good. Maybe JESSICA G has a point. Buy some silkies for yourself,and carry your sweet little rat in your pocket. He’ll be nice and toasty warm.~~~
The Ultimate Dating Tips for Guys – Super Tips for Guys Playing the Dating Game
Posted by admin | Under Pet Clothing Thursday Nov 4, 2010
HTML clipboardA good friend of mine asked me to write a few dating tips for guys, so here goes this article. I take it you are now about to go on your date. You have so far been successful in securing the date. You were either introduced to this girl through a friend at some occasion or approached her in a bar, a club or some other public place and charmed her or even met her online. In any event, you now have a date with her and before you go on that date I got a few dating tips for you:
1. Make sure you dress well before the date. Always dress to impress, but never over do it. I personally think it is a good idea to wear an interesting piece of clothing. Something that stands out. I would say something that is unique but not weird. I like the idea of wearing a necklace and bracelet, even a funky hat.
2. Make sure you are well groomed. You are clean shaven, or if you have a goatee or mustache, make sure your facial hair is trimmed. Make sure your nails are cut and you took a shower before-hand. Put on a good deodorant, I recommend an athletic type like Adidas as they are made to last a while. Of course make sure you brushed your teeth. Finally, put a bit of cologne, pick a scent that has a powerful smell. Don’t over-do it. I know this stuff sounds obvious, but you will be surprised how many guys skip this step and end up turning their date off and never see them again.
3. For a first date I would pick a lounge for a drink. I would never go to the movies on a first date, really bad call. You are trying to get to know your date on the first date and it is hard to get to know someone when you are watching a movie. Also never have dinner on the first date. That is for a second date, you want to build some chemistry first which is easier to do in a lounge.
4. When you get to the lounge order her a cocktail. Chances are she doesn’t drink beer and if she does she would prefer a cocktail, most girls do. Try to pick a place to sit where the two of you will be sitting right next to each other, like a couch.
5. Keep the conversation light. I think it is best to find out what are her interests and most importantly what she is passionate about. Then get her talking about her passion and interests, this works wonders. Let her feel good around you. When she talks about the things that excite her and you are with her, then she will start associating you with them. Now this part is very important, touch her every now and then when she is talking. I am talking about a friendly touch, like a pet. Pat her on her shoulder or her arm.
6. If you are feeling a connection then at some point just hold her hand. Hold it for about two minutes and then pull pack. Again this works wonders if you do it right. It builds a great connection with her.
These are some basic dating tips for guys which will get you on your way to succeeding on your first date. If you would like a lot more detail and unlock the entire process of attraction and seduction from approaching the girl to dating the girl, then check out my website for that free report that has helped thousands of men attract the women they desire.
Even after washing, my clothing is still covered in pet’s hair. How can I removed it?
Posted by admin | Under Pet Clothing Monday Oct 18, 2010
Depends on the fabric and do you use a dryer and dryer sheets? I find that liquid fabric softner leaves hair. Bounce makes a dyer sheet that helps remove pet hair. I use just downey sheets and they dont seem to leave hair behind.
The Dog Movement
Posted by admin | Under Pet Clothing Friday Oct 8, 2010
When you see a dog in Office Depot, you know that society’s perception of dogs has changed. A few weeks ago, I was walking into an Office Depot to pick up the latest version of Quicken (part of my goal this year is to better manage my finances). On my way in, I bumped into a middle-aged woman who was walking out. With her was a medium sized dog on a leash. Normally when you see this, the dog is a disability dog. This was not that kind of dog. It was clearly a regular housedog. To my surprise, she was able to shop in the store and make a purchase without having to leave her dog in the car. It seemed strange to me that the employees did not seem to mind the dog in the store. A dog in Office Depot is not something you would’ve seen happen ten or even five years ago.
Another recent example is my last trip to the swap meet. The swap meet charges about fifty cents to enter. Next to the pricing sign, there is a sign that clearly states that dog are not allowed, unless they are disability dogs. Yet during my hour or so there, I bumped into several people who had what I call purse dogs with them. They were either on a leash, in a purse or being held. This was not as strange because the swap meet is outdoors, but I wonder why the sign remains if the swap meet has such a loose dog policy. Many of the merchants at the swap meet cater to dog clothing, dog bedding and other dog accessories. It makes sense to allow them to enter so why not remove the sign? How else is the dog going to try on the clothes?
My last example is at the nail shop. I get a pedicure about twice a month. The last time I went in, I was waiting for the next available manicurist, or pedicurist if that’s a valid term. While waiting, I noticed that a woman was getting her nails done with her dog in her lap. The dog was about twenty pounds, so a little larger than your usual purse dog. It had bows in its ears and was wearing a diaper. Both the woman and the manicurist were talking about the dog. The manicurist was asking if it was wearing a diaper because it was a puppy. The lady explained that it was not a puppy but still sometimes had accidents, which is why she kept it in a diaper when going out. I couldn’t help but wonder whether the dog was wearing a dog diaper, or a child diaper. It looked like a child diaper with a hole cut out for the tail. I also wondered how bad it would be if the dog had an accident while this woman was getting her nails done. Does she change the dog in the bathroom like a baby? How does she clean it up if it wets itself while she is shopping or in the car?
Getting back to my original point, our society now finds it acceptable to run errands with your dog. Just as we take kids everyone, we’re not also now taking dogs everywhere (especially the little ones). It is no longer necessary to leave the dog at home or in the car. The majority of establishments seem to have shifted into dog tolerant places. Despite this, these same establishments will not declare that the allow dogs in the store. They keep the sign on the door that clearly states “No Animals”. Yet the employees and management does not enforce this rule. Are retailers afraid to remove this sign? Does it have to do with risk management? Are they afraid of other shoppers objecting? If they open the door to dogs, what other animals might people bring in?
Whatever the reason is, I wonder how long it will take for establishments to take down the “No Animals” sign. I know that somewhere out there, there has to be a group who objects to the dog movement. A group that still sees dogs as just pets that do not belong in grocery stores or nail shops. Personally I hope that we can continue the shift of viewing dogs as valid members of the family. As I do my taxes, I think about all of my pet expenses I’ve had and I hope that I can one day deduct these from my taxes. My dogs were all adopted. I feel as if I personally am doing society a favor by taking these dogs off the streets and supporting them. Yes, I do it because I love them, but it is expensive to keep them healthy and in a way, it is like charity.
